Here are a couple of topics to inspire our forum discussion this week:
1 – What NEW insights are you gaining from your reading of the Richards/O’Brien text, “Misreading Scripture Through Western Eyes?” Have there been insights that have surprised you? Do you agree with their assessment? What struck you in your readings? I have attached a SUMMARY of not only the “Misreading” book.
2 – The Passion stories of the Gospels. Read the text from Luke and THEN read the Passion texts from the other gospels. What are the unique details of each? What is similar with a small “twist?” How do you make sense of each gospel’s uniqueness?
