Wayne State University Man and His Culture 1954 Video Discussion 3. Watch and discuss: Man and his Culture (The 15 minute long movie is shown below here). This is a classic example of learning how to understand culture in 15 minutes and really enjoy it.
The discussion will be based on the readings, the movie Man and His Culture, and your own experiences. Discuss Culture as you understand it and use examples from the movie to illustrate it. Emphasize some of the similarities found in all cultures and their different appearances among different groups of people. Do some research and explain how culture influences biological processes and how this relates to issues such as ethnocentrism and racism.
Describe at least one example from your own experience showing your own understanding in these terms.
