Wall Street Journal opinion article

this assignment is a longer paper written in the style of a Wall Street Journal opinion article. The article should be timely and address an economic issue of current interest to Wall Street Journal readers. Read several articles in the Op Ed section of the Wall Street Journal for reference. Formal footnotes are not required but the article should clearly refer to other contributions in the Journal or elsewhere. Minimum length is 400 words or approximately two pages and maximum length 600 words or approximately three pages. Footnotes, titles and other extraneous material are not counted when determining the length of the paper.
The paper should be a stand-alone article. it should be a paper based on your ideas and opinions. it should not react to or reflect upon the work of another writer. As before, the paper should begin with a clear statement about your opinion regarding a current economic issue. Follow with evidence to justify your position. You may cite articles from the WSJ to support your perspective but you also may use data and evidence from other sources. Make note of your references as you did in the previous papers. Formal footnotes are not needed but author name, publication date and title are required in the body of the text.

Remember that this assignment is not a letter. It is a stand-alone article. You choose the subject of the paper, keeping in mind it must deal with an economic issue. This is critical analysis. Begin with your opinion and follow with evidence that supports your position.
Do not offer an opinion based on flimsy evidence. Several of you wrote about covid19 last assignment and for the most part could only say you had too little data to make an informed judgement. That type of writing is a waste of time and energy. Choose a topic where a little research will lend support to your thesis.
Use 12 pt. Arial font in Normal style with 1.25 inch right and left margins and 1 inch top and bottom margins. Double space the paper and left justify
