Walden University Depression and PTSD Patient Information Paper The client is a 48 years old Native American with a history of Stimulant Use Disorder, Major Depressive disorder, PTSD, diabetes and hypertension He identified drugs of choice as methamphetamines, last used as 06/21/20. He used 1 gram three-time weekly. Client has a medical history of hypertension and diabetes. He is prescribed Lisinopril, and his diabetes is controlled with diet. Client stated, ” I am here because the court referred me; I was arrested due to possession of meth. I feel trapped being in here.” During the interview, the client reported experiencing depression and flashbacks related to the trauma. The client is a veteran and was in active combat. He lost his daughter in 2003. At the time of assessment, the client denied any current and past thought, plan, or intent to harm himself. He endorses passive homicidal ideation toward law enforcement with no active plan or intent to act. No delusions and hallucinations observed or reported.
