“You are to write a paper based on the film shown in class. Your paper should be completed in APA style, double-spaced, in Times New Roman 12 point font with 1 inch margins. Papers should be approximately 3-4 pages in length, excluding your cover and reference pages. They should be formatted based on the instructions and should aIDress all the questions posed.

Begin with a 1 paragraph summary of the film (approximately ½ a page). Remember that this is a summarization and not a discussion of each scene.

Then in 3-3.5 pages, respond to the following questions:

1. What psychological disorder was the main character suffering from? Paranoid schizophrenia

2. In 1 page, using scholarly journal sources, discuss symptoms of the disorder. Use examples to illustrate how this was portrayed in the film. Ensure that you mention the specific examples from the movie which you are using to support your research.

3. In 1 page, use scholarly sources to support a discussion of how treatment for this disorder has been approached in psychology through history. Was there any portrayal of treatment depicted in the film? Discuss what was shown, if any. Was it effective?

4. In 1 page, what is your reaction to the film? Do you think it was an accurate portrayal of the psychological disorder?”
