University of Phoenix Gun Control in America Annotated Bibliographies Paper Instructions

My topic is gun control in America

Locate two books, not reference sources relevant to your argument topic:

1. These sources should be books, chapters in books, articles in a book of collected articles, or parts of books. (No dictionaries, encyclopedias, reference sources, or journal articles from journals.) They must not be more than five years old unless they are important to support an historical perspective for your position. The university databases are excellent sources: ebrary & Net Library.

2. Prepare an annotated bibliography entry for each source.

First, write a separate APA bibliography entry for each source.

Next, follow the bibliography entry with a brief but specific notation about the source’s main idea and the major points the source gives to support that idea (5 to 12 sentences for each annotation).

3. Then, make a statement about how you expect this source to be useful to you in writing your scholarly researched argument paper (1 to 2 sentences).

4. Along with the annotated bibliography, submit copies of each source and a completed

book source evaluation form for each source. Staple a completed evaluation form to the back of each source. Use the cover sheet provided. The 40-40-20 rule applies.

NOTE: If you cannot find books, additional scholarly sources are acceptable.
