Assignment Objective
The aim of assignment is to the test student’s ability to undertake and plan the formal description of
resources available from a web site using an appropriate language (such as the Resource Description
Framework – RDF).
Assignment Tasks
1) Submit a work proposal for this assignment or before 07/05/20 (23:59) which must include:
• Understanding of deliverables – a detail description of deliverables.
• Identifying components required for RDf and few names for Valid XML file.
Timeline and references for completion of the given tasks.
The work proposal must be submitted in a word file through the link available in Moodle.
2) “XML is a good solution to transfer data between servers regardless of their operating system and
platform”. Justify this extract with an e-business domain of your choice showing the technical steps
involved with necessary illustration.

3) Analyze various containers available in Resource Description Framework (RDF) and apply all of them
in a single validated RDF document. The RDF document created should have description of at least nine
products available from Mobile and Mobile Accessories section of a chosen electronic shop. Create triples
of the RDF document created.

4) Develop a Document Type Definition (DTD) for a simple scenario given below with sufficient
explanation of all the steps involved. Create valid XML document for developed DTD to demonstrate
different possibilities of using the created DTD.
Scenario
A file contains one or more pages. Each page in the file contains a date, address, to, body and
signature. Page should also include either grade or type element. All the entries of the page are special
words. The number, color, version and header are attributes of page. Out of the attributes mentioned
above, number is mandatory and unique and the rest all are optional. Attributes color can have two values
green and red.
