University of Central Florida How To Make Young Siblings Get Along Essay for this essay I will ask you to experiment with and attack it from an entirely different perspective. I’m not asking for merely a revision of the earlier draft, but instead a totally new treatment of the subject. Perhaps you’d like to take a travel narrative and turn it into a how-to essay. Perhaps you’d like to argue from an opposing side of an issue that you focused on in an earlier essay. Perhaps you’d like to rethink your entire perspective on something that happened in a memoir event. Perhaps you’d like to shift the point of view of the essay. What sort of radical shift you make in the approach to the subject matter is up to you. Be as creative and experimental as you like. I’ll reward you for taking a rhetorical risk and penalize you for playing it safe and sticking close to the design of the old essay. Feel free to run any ideas you have by me if you’re so inclined.Essay should be between 500-750 words.Include one-paragraph analysis in which you explain what you learned about writing from the assignment and progression of that particular essay. In the analysis paragraph, be sure to include literary vocabulary you’ve learned along the way when discussing the essay (e.g., hook, point of view, structure, diction, grammar, imagery, dialogue, setting, hyperbole, personification, metaphor, etc.) Running head: A FLASH NON FICTION ESSAY

A Flash Non Fiction Essay
My sister and I are supposed to carry only two personal items to my grandparents’ house.
We will travel in our family car with my parents and sister for one night and two days. My
mother organizes and packs everybody’s clothes and necessities. My sister chooses her two items
but refuses to reveal them to me, claiming that they belonged to her only after spending lots of
energy trying to entice her to show me her two items. One of the things I chose was Bunny, my
beautiful white doll, which my grandfather gave me as a Christmas present, and I, therefore,
valued the doll so much that I did not want to get separated from it at any time. The second item
that I could not leave behind was my hairbrush, which I bought for myself after saving some
small change from my parents and so I always felt attached to the brush.
Upon seeing my selections, my mother said: “This doll consumes a lot of space, and it
easily gets dirty especially when taken out of this house, why did you choose to carry it?” The
doll could not fit in my suitcase, and I, therefore, had to carry it with my hands.
I replied,” Because I want grandpa to see that I treasure his gift and that I am a
responsible person who known how to take care of gifts. Who knows he might get tempted to
give me another gift this time round”.
She smiles and gives me the go-ahead to carry the doll into the car. I wish I knew that I
would have listened to my mother and left my bunny sleeping peacefully in the house. The
journey began, and I recall that we had almost covered half of the journey when father suggested
that we get out of the car to grab some snacks since we had traveled a long way. I thought it was
a great idea to carry Bunny to the small café along the road so that she could have fresh air and

feel the cafe ambiance. We happened to visit the restroom with my mother, leaving Bunny all
alone in the seat. There was no need to carry a doll to the toilet. I got shocked when we came
back since she was not there. We asked the café attendant whether she saw the doll, and she said
that she had stepped in the back for a moment and did not realize whether someone took my dear
Bunny. It was until we looked in the security cameras and realized that the little girl sited next to
use in the café grabbed the doll and left with the father.
My heart was filled with anguish, and mixed emotions ran all over my body. What will I
tell grandpa when he asks about Bunny? Who will give me company during the night? All these
questions ran through my mind with no answers.
“I’m sorry, Bunny,” I kept repeating these words over and over again. We embarked on
the journey, and I did not utter a word through the night until morning when we arrived at our
destination. I apologized to grandpa for losing Bunny, and I feel sad for losing her throughout
my childhood.
