Sensor Industry
Sensors are taking over society. Sensors are rooted in nearly all aspects of modern-day life.
Smartphones, automobiles, and security systems are just a few of the everyday gadgets that society
utilized. Sensors are taking over the world. There are several types of sensors, for example,
Thermal Sensor, Vision Sensor, and Pressure Sensor.
Thermal sensors are found in many laptops and desktop PCs to sound an alarm when a specific
temperature has been exceeded.
Vision sensors are used in the beverage and food industry, the automotive, and other general
manufacturing industries.
Pressure Sensors are monitor that measures pressure and can display it in units such as PSI (Pound
per Square).
Competitors
There are many different sensors competitors in the sensors industry. Team Baldwin has decided
to focus on the following three competitors:
Infineon Technologies -. Infineon Technologies is a semiconductor manufacturer located in
German. They are one of the ten largest semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.
Analog Device-Analog Device is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of analog,
mixed-signal, and DSP integrated circuits

Omron Corporation – Omron Corporations, a Japanese electronics company. The primary
source of the business is the manufacture and sale of automation components, equipment, and
systems. However, it is generally known for medical equipment such as digital thermometers,
blood pressure monitors, and nebulizers.
Sensors: What I know
Sensors technology has a significant impact on the world. Sensors improve the world through
medical applications, improved performance of batteries and solar power, improved health and
safety, and security for people. Sensors are a part of today’s society.
