Students will visit the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Book Divisions. Students should read Digital Curation Projects Made Easy, A Step by Step Guide for Libraries, Archives, and Museums, Chapter 6 “Rare Books.” Students will locate one manuscript and one rare book. Write a one-page single space summary of their findings.
