Many compliance-related companies offer off-the-shelf or customized training materials to companies. However, not all companies and compliance departments have large enough budgets to “buy” training and so rely on compliance professionals to translate complicated compliance topics into effective training for employees. 1. Assignment:

The Chief Legal Officer of GoodBones has called you into her office. She has just learned that 10 anonymous employee hotline calls have come in over the last week. They are all related to the same topic — discrimination.

She is focused on investigating the reported incidents, and she needs you to draft training materials that can be rolled out asap in web format to employees.

As a starting point, she needs to you take the provided information (her notes along with some legal documents she has provided) and turn those into 10 slides that simplify this topic for employees (using the concepts in this Module).

No cover slide is needed. No additional research or citations are needed. Simply use the materials you have been provided, and create a presentation for employees of GoodBones.

2.Hypothetical Response

You have learned that a new product is being offered by your company and that a large customer (potential buyer) is allegedly being offered tickets, airfare and first class accommodations to the United States Open being held at Merion Country Club prior to meeting with your company to discuss possible purchase of the product. This product has just received government approval for usage by patients and is now reimbursable by federal programs. The General Counsel is aware of this offer to the customer but has told you that this new product offering is just what this customer would buy and wants to keep them happy. More importantly, the organization really wants this new product to take off and if this customer purchases it, the company will benefit greatly. What would you do?
