Introduction
Creativity refers to a phenomenon by which something new is created out of a new idea,
and thus the value of the item, whether tangible or an intangible item. Creativity also is the
application of imaginary concepts to invent something, and it turns out as expected. I feel that
creativity is an individual’s unique ability to view something past the common point through
imaginative skills, to come up with possible alternatives, in a new form of the original ideology.
Creativity is a gradual change out of each experience daily in all the activities that one may
engage in a certain period. This week, I feel that I have gained more creative abilities in my
studies, writing skills, and also with the analytical skills that one has been practising on. As
compared to a month ago, one can feel the incredible change.
Base on the article and the video concerning the fourth Industrial Revolution, one’s
creativity is impacted by nature and the speed at which technology is changing fast. The nature
of the fourth industrial revolution is creatively motivating, as it includes, a positively exponential

market as a result of factors that surpass the regular basic need. The author of the story also has

made concerning the products and services with their favourable budget limits. Based on the
documentary, the social technology of control, tends to limit the freedoms of the consumers in
the market through government operations and the corporations. The freedoms of the consumers
have been compromised with the government and corporation campaigns whereby the leaders

choose to use the consumers to win domination. The leaders have chosen to trap the needs and
the wishes for consumers to manipulate them.
A market choice or simulation has been viewed with the perception of a political
campaign where the government officials have chosen to hold respondents in a room for the
voting purpose and thus have sought it as a means by which they can achieve power in the
economic systems. Currently, the business operations have taken the form of operating
government functions and operations as the officials have found a way through to politics.
Through the satisfaction of the consumer’s desires, in the business operations, the government
officials think it is a more effective way to politics.
Through the implementation of the consumerism concept, creativity can adequately apply
in the development of means by which consumer interest in the market place can well be
protected in the market places, and throughout the business operation processes. Also, creativity
can well be applied to arrest government officials who tend to misuse the culture of the business
operations for selfish needs satisfaction. Unfair business practices need to be eliminated in the
markets through creative designs to incorporate ethics in business operations and thus, the safety
of the consumers in the market.
Upon classifications, creativity can well be grouped as a biological adaptation and more
of the natural aspect of life. Based on any newly acquired adjustments, creativity can be achieved

way in which it differs from true meritocracy is that the power is not allocated to individuals
based on their social class or wealth that they have but as a result of the contribution that they
make to the organization.

Meritocracy is a social system where progress and standard of life are primarily based on
an individual’s talents, potentials, and effort. Meritocracy makes people develop based on their
merits. However, in current years meritocracy focuses on two issues social mobility and income
imbalance. These two issues converge in education because, in the United States, culture is
meritocratic. In the past, meritocracy was referred to as an individual’s I.Q and effort. However,
whereas today it is regarded as indescribable integration of cognitive potentials, talents, and
personal leadership capabilities. Therefore, meritocracy was different in the past because it
represented a vision in which authority and advantages were given based on individual merit and
not social origin like today.

believed that the economic and social network is determined by privately regulated and operated
for a dividend (Shay, 2019). Any promotion that was given in both systems depends on the success
of the employee in the company. Meritocracy has dominated the economic system in the United
States and other developed countries. Meritocracy has inspired many people today in the world to
compete in the international market to gain more profits. Today, in the United States and other
countries, jobs are not awarded to individuals with connections. Jobs in America are given based
on the merits of qualification and required work experience without considering their origins. In
past posts were awarded to people based on connections or pedigree.
Additionally, today’s meritocracy focuses on developing the economy without
discrimination. In America, all races are employed in professional jobs, and also education systems
and healthcare systems are provided equitably. The people of America have rejected the old class
community and adopted the meritocratic ideal. Due to the meritocratic ideal, many people in
America have become innovative (Appiah, 2018). Big companies are found in America and other
developed countries due to the creativity and innovation of their trained and skilled staff. All staff
members in organizations understand that their effort and skill can increase the production of the
company and thus increase the annual income.
Origin of Meritocracy
The term meritocracy was introduced in 1958 by an English sociologist called Michael
Young. Michael Young added the term meritocracy when he wrote a book called Rise of the
Meritocracy. The book is an intelligent material that emerged in the second half of the twentieth
century. Young applied the term satirically to show how the United Kingdom was governed by a
system that prioritized intelligence and individual merit to develop the economy. The idea of

meritocracy changed its meaning since Young’s book. Today, meritocracy is referring to
companies and societies where people are favored depending on their qualifications and intentions.
The people who have higher qualifications and extraordinary skills in specific professions are
prioritized in job employment. Companies today believe innovation and education is the key to
the success of their businesses (Appiah, 2018).
Many successful companies, such as Apple, Alibaba, Google, Amazon, and Samsung, are
led by competent Chief Executive Officers and directors. They further employ skilled and
experienced workers to facilitate efficient production and delivery of products and services to the
clients. These influential companies have shown that, for an organization to promote engagement
among their staffs and clients while motivating leadership and management, the company should
consider practicing a meritocratic strategy. Today, meritocracy has given all members of a
company to share their opinion and demand their rights. Meritocracy has promoted the workplace
relationship due to the openness and inclusivity in solving company issues. All the workers within
a company are considered vital in decision making and solving critical problems of the
organization.
Benefits of Meritocracy to Workers
Meritocracy is useful to the workers since it helps them develop on their basis of merit.
People understand that their hard work and success will get them to the next level. Meritocracy
makes people enhance their efforts and focus on essential factors that improve their quality of life.
