For this assignment, you will be designing a PowerPoint presentation on both the
Integumentary and Skeletal systems. You will be “giving” this presentation to a group of

This presentation must use at least two credible sources. The use of credible/reliable
academic sources is important to ensure the presentation of accurate and timely material.
Academic resources can include your textbook, government websites, and academic journal
articles. Avoid using sites such as Wikipedia and Ask.com, as they are not considered
academically reliable. Start your search with a visit to the university library.

Speaker Notes
This presentation requires the use of the Speaker Notes section beneath each respective
slide. This is your “script” of what you would be saying to the audience and should include
all the explanations and details. The notes section for EACH slide should have a
minimum of 50 words. Some slides will require more in order to fully explain the
topic.
When you open the template, it will be in editing mode. The notes can be brought up at the
bottom of the screen. Slides should only have only bullet points of key concepts visible to
the audience. What you are going to say to the audience will be contained in the notes
section.
The majority of the information should be contained in the speaker notes, not on
the slides.

Tips for using Speaker Notes:
Research each subject and write up what you want to convey to your audience (your
script) on a Word document. Then, copy and paste that explanation (with citations) into
the notes section of the PowerPoint.
The last item should be to pull up some key points, words or phrases from the notes and
put them on the slide above. The notes and slides should not be a copy of each other –
the text must be different. The notes contain the full explanations while the slides have a
few key concepts or bullet points.
Only add images (with citations) to help explain concepts. You cannot add an image from
the internet that is in place of your own words! You always must explain everything in
your own voice.
To create an effective and professional presentation, you are required to:

All students are required to use MS Office which includes PowerPoint (included free with
tuition – speak to your advisor). However, you may also use Google slides to complete this
project. NOTE: If Google slides are used, you must download the presentation as a *.ppt
file, and not as a Google slide file as the required notes section will be lost. If there are no
notes attached to your project, point deductions will be taken, so check twice!
