Reflection Paper #2 Advanced Care Planning Case Study

Details

Students will analyze a case study -video-focused on advanced care planning and end of life discussions between multiple parties including physicians, patients and family members. Students will reflect on multiple perspectives and develop communication strategies that help uncover underlying interests, promote a deeper understanding of each party and how to work through challenging discussions and develop strategies that enhance understanding open dialogue and utilize conflict resolution models. Students are asked to submit a 4 page reflection paper (not including resources) for this assignment.

To be specific, please answer the following questions listed below based on the video case study. Please submit a 4 page paper -plus references  by March 31st.  Based on the two videos please answer the following:
1. Please explain and define positions, underlying interests and goals for the doctors and family member.
2. How did the affect of each individual differ between the two videos?
3. What additional strategies would you recommend and why?
4. Was the conflict resolved? If so-How? If not-Why?
