Reflection #2: Know My Name: A Memoir by Chanel Miller Chapters 4-14

Submit both online and turn in a hard copy in class.
First, discuss the ways in which the assigned section of the book relates back to recent class readings and/or lectures. How is Chanel’s experience in the aftermath of her rape similar and different from the women in the documentary Rape on the Nightshift?

Second, now that you finished reading the book, discuss your personal thoughts/ reactions to the book. What stood out to you most and why? I am looking for meaningful and insightful commentary, not just “I liked/did not like the book”. If you had a chance to speak to Chanel, what would you like to tell her now that you know her name and story?
