TERM PAPER
Objective:
To gain an appreciation and further understanding of how x-rays
were discovered, are created/produced, and how various factors
affect the radiographic image.
Specifics:
Individual Term Paper –
Minimum 2-page typed paper to include a topic introduction,
body, and conclusion. Visuals are also required and depending
upon the subject matter may be images (including X-ray images),
tables, diagrams, etc. A minimum of two visuals must be
contained within the body of the paper.
Topics are unlimited, but must be within the scope of this
course. Examples of some of the available topics include:
• History of x-rays
• Production of x-rays
• Interactions in tube/patient
• Exposure factors (technique, grids, scatter, etc.)
Use of the internet to research in addition to course materials
may be used. If actual sources are used and/or quoted, please
refer to those at the end of the paper. This is not be included
as part of the 2 written pages.
I do not expect any particular writing style or format (such as
AP). A standard typed paper presenting with clear, concise and
detailed information, along with proper grammar and spelling,
and finally a methodical transition from one thought or subject
to another in proper paragraph form. Lastly, standard 1.5 or
double line spacing is preferred.
