Resource: Motivation and Needs Presentation Grading Guide
Select at least one of the types of needs (physiological, psychological, or implicit) concerning human
motivation in a work setting.
Prepare a 10- to 15-minute oral presentation, accompanied by 10 to 15 Microsoft® PowerPoint® slides, in
which you analyze physiological, psychological, or implicit needs as they relate to human behavior.
Online Campus students do not deliver an oral presentation; however, they must submit speaker notes with
their presentations.
Address the following in your presentation:
Identify the organizational setting.
Define the selected needs.
Identify and explain the factors that affect workplace behavior.
Assess the importance of acquired needs.
Apply one to two theories―such as drive reduction theory, cognitive evaluation theory, or Atkinson’s
model―to how physiological, psychological, or implicit needs affect behavior.
Explain how the organization is affected by unmet human needs, as well as what can be done to improve
employees’ experiences.
Cite at least 2 references from scholarly, peer-reviewed sources.
Format any citations in your presentation according to APA guidelines.
Note: When approaching Learning Team assignments, equal group work is required. Reference your Learning
Team Charter for the details and guidance.
