course will be an evaluation of DHS’s ‘Threat of Harm’ policy, which defines exposure to IPV within the home as a form of child abuse. For your final paper research this policy, its origin and how it has impacted children and families in Oregon. You must also incorporate your developed understanding of ‘Trauma Informed Care” and how it supports working with children that have been exposed to violence. Are the current policies trauma informed? Please explain your reasoning- backed up by RESEARCH.

The paper requirements:

A detailed definition of “Trauma Informed Care” and a thesis statement in favor or opposed to using this approach in working with children exposed to violence
