(Torque and Rotational Equilibrium Lab)
For this lab use the lab sheets and fill out the data tables appearing below. After you compete the
lab analysis write up your lab report in the typical manner. For SCCC students there is a similar
lab on page 75 of your lab manual but do NOT use your manual; you may however read that lab
in your manual for additional information on this subject.

Notes about the video:
1. In the beginning of the video it says “the lab is on page 91 of the lab book;” you can
disregard this statement because it depends on which lab book you have.
2. At the end of the lab in Part III the procedure asks you to calculate a percent difference
between your calculated mass of a meter stick, and the known mass of the meter stick; but
the instructor in the video forgot to give us the known mass, so just leave it as “m” in the
percent difference formulas.
