Project Guidelines

Title: Image making

This is a Team project with a PowerPoint presentation.

The project is divided into two (2) major parts: report + presentation.

Part 1

In this part you will do the following:

1. The students will be divided into groups of max 4 students. They will have 12 weeks to analyze thelanguage used by 2 local newspapers, 1 radio station, 1 TV channel, to represent women, men, and racial groups. This project is designed to help students understand how language helps form perceptions and stereotypes about women, men, racial groups, through mass communication including newspapers, radio, television, and the Internet.
2. The findings will be presented in a written report with around 5000 words.
