It must have at least once outside resource and that would be cited in MLA format. Typed, Font 12. Proofread your work.

You will be writing for your first speech, a speech of description.  With that in mind what is a description speech and what might be some of your choices and why?

How are the speeches alike and/or different in their choices of language? In other words, do the speeches seem as if they were composed for the general public or rather for specific groups?

Week 3.2 Assignment

The Nature of the Public Speaking Thesis

Discuss in 250-300 word essay the role of the thesis in the context of a speech.  In a speech the thesis has to be given special attention.  How will the purpose and thesis differ?  Explain how you may word your thesis to create a greater effectiveness.

Week 3.3 Assignment Speech 1 Description

Please practice your speech.  You will be submitting your speech through audio or video.  This speech should be 3 – 4 minutes in length.
