MNSU Democracy and Citizenship Opinion and Evaluation Discussion this assignment is just to give your opinion and the evaluation of the materials and the discussions that we had in this course in general.
I need two seperate documents in order to answer this assignemnt.
first part:
We have covered a lot of relatively big topics and concepts in a short amount of time. Please take a few minutes and think about some of the course material and how it may or may not have affected or informed your thoughts about current politics, either in terms of the last few years or just the last few months.
Question prompt: Which, if any, of the course topics and concepts seem particularly useful or interesting to you? How so? Which, if any, of the course concepts seem less useful or interesting to you? How so?
please talk about the ( three face of power topic ) that you are writing a discussion about right now for example.
this is an example from another student talking about the same topic:-
The Three Faces of Power and the unit on Social Action were the most interesting to me. I enjoyed following along through all three phases and how they can go hand in hand. Both topics relate best to a lot of things going on in America today, so I feel it was a good time to learn about them because they could easily be applied to current events. The first week on democracy and citizenship was less useful to me, only because I have taken many Political Science courses, so I felt that was more of a repeat for me.
the second part:
its going to be about course expectations and materials.
No course can cover all of the material or topics of the course titles in college courses, so decisions have to be made about inclusion and exclusion. Please think back to when you decided to take this course, whether it was optional for you or required for your major, and consider what topics might be covered in a course about “Democracy and Citizenship.
( it was required for my major).
Question prompt: For better or worse, to what extent did the content of the course match your expectations? What course topics were expected? What course topics were expected? Were there topics you wish had been discussed that were not? Were there topics that were discussed that were unexpected but exceeded your expectations?
example from another student:-
the content of the course matched my expectations completely, but I feel the course should be named Democracy, Citizenship, and Power. We focused a lot on power which I enjoyed. I did not expect to go over social action when signing up for the course, which could just be a oversight on my part, but I am glad we did. Same with how much time we spent on power.. I envisioned the class going more over government structure (the branches of government, their roles, etc.). That fact that we did not go over those things, was a welcoming surprise. Overall – great course, I really enjoyed it.
the answers for both should be general and summarized and just answer with few sentences would be fine, its not a assignment, its just an evaluation for the class and the materials in general. you can check the materials from exam materials if needed. thanks
