First, we wound need to know the sample size. This will determine if we are to use a z test or P(z 30

Where µ1 = population mean of annual bonuses of company A and µ2 = population mean of annual bonuses of company B. In this case we are testing the two population mean and assuming the sample size is less than 30 in each group, so we can conclude that the best test to test the population means of two samples is the “Independent Sample t test”.
