Managing Diverse TeamsThe resources for this week highlight.
Managing Diverse TeamsThe resources for this week highlight many of the challenges faced by teams and groups. Managing a group composed of individuals with unique cultures, backgrounds, personalities, and abilities can be a daunting task. As a manager, it is your responsibility to ensure that team and group interactions are successful. As you review the resources this week, continue your research in the Walden Library, and prepare your Discussion posting, contemplate the following questions:How do you define diversity? Consider the diverse elements in your personal and organizational environments. How can you use the knowledge you have gained thus far to develop a team? How do motivation and rewards affect team development?Note: You do not need to directly answer these points in your Discussion post, as they serve only to begin your thinking process; however, you must explain your reasoning as you formulate your formal response. Now, answer a the following: What is the difference between a group and a team? What role does synergy play in distinguishing a group from a team? Discuss the roles diversity plays in team development. How does team composition and dynamics affect team effectiveness? As a manager, how can you use the team diversity as a positive feature? How can you motivate those who are different from you or those who have different priorities? All work in Apa formatReferences:Colquitt, J. A., Lepine, J. A., & Wesson, M. J. (2015).
