Is the current status of women in the United States in line with what the suffragettes fought for?

Paper instructions

Topic
“Is the current status of women in the United States
(voting, pay, employment, representation, etc.) in line with what
the suffragettes fought for? Why or why not?”

In taking on this challenge, do some research on the history of the suffrage movement leading up to the
passage of the 19th amendment. Remember to think about the following as you prepare your essay:
1) Read about the organizations and suffragists who advocated for the 19th amendment. What was life
like for women during this period?
2) Focus on one element (pay, voting, employment, etc.) for comparison
3) Be clear about the time frames being compared
4) While personal experience with these issues will be helpful, be sure to also support your work with
credible sources
5) Give credit to your sources. If you quote, be sure to cite the source in MLA format. If you paraphrase a
source, cite it.
6) The word count should fall within the 450-500 word range, not including the source citations.
