As discussed in the first three workshops, the Learning Contract is a description of what you want to get out of your field placement, as well as what you need to accomplish during your field placement to demonstrate proficiency in each of the nine competency areas. Your Learning Contract is due this week and requires a signature from you, your field instructor, and your faculty liaison.

Background Information

Review: The Learning Contract should be considered a ‘living document’ that you and your field placement supervisor review and update regularly. Working closely with your supervisor, and, where appropriate, the faculty liaison, you will need to complete and submit an updated copy of your Learning Contract in this workshop. You are not expected to fulfill every practice behavior in each competency by the end of the first half of your practicum; however, do strive to complete as many as possible that are appropriate, and consider how you will demonstrate competency in the remaining practice behaviors in the second half of your practicum.

Make sure to identify at least one learning activity for each practice behavior listed, remembering to use SMART goal format to describe them.
