The intent of this project is to assess and recommend appropriate strategic human capital development initiatives centering on performance management and training development practices. Your team is to perform work as external consultants charted to improve the above- mentioned human capital development practices advancing the firm’s competitive advantage.

1. An Executive Summary (A one-two page summary of key elements of assessment and recommendation). A good one is a “call to action” that is if an executive read this he/she would be inclined to execute the recommendation(s).
2. Industry background – A company, industry and SWOTanalysis. This is the basis for understanding the business strategy and linking your development strategy to the business direction.
3. Current Human Resource and Development Practices: What is the current HR structure? What are the practices? What does a best-in-class global HR organization do in the areas of appraisal and supporting training and development practices?
4. Recommendation for the Business and HR: What needs to change and why? What does the revised appraisal, performance management and supporting training and development look like (details are important)? What is the ROIand how do these new practices advance the competitive advantage of the organization?
5. What are potential implementation issues in advancing the recommended practices? How can these be overcome?
