You have been given the task as an external project management consultant to provide preliminary research as to why the HS2 Rail Project in the UK is now facing up to 5 years delay of its intended target (BBC Sept.19). Research some of the critical factors that have accounted for this delay and critically analyse whether some of them could have been avoided. The project has also raised several key ethical and sustainability issues.
