Health and Safety Plan

Refer to the resources identified and choose an objective. Will the experience you plan:
Support children in developing basic information about what it is to be healthy or to be safe and help them practice what they can do to help maintain this state of being?
Help children establish practices (good habits) that promote good health?
Providing an experience that helps to raise their awareness about the factors that influence health and safety related behavior.
Choose one area to focus on and together decide on a stimulating and engaging, hands on experience that would be appropriate for 3- 5-year-old children.
Following the steps outlined in the power point presentation:
Identify Topic and Concept -What will you focus on: Health or Safety? What is the concept you want to introduce, explore, or practice?
Outline Objectives -What behaviors would demonstrate competence?
Implementation/Facilitation -What will you do to support children in this experience, what do you expect them to do?
Evaluation -How will you know if your objective were met and/or if you were effective in reaching those objectives?
