They learn where everything is how to get the equipment in out of the rooms, and where to keep the suplies stored so they can do their jobs. Coming into a place that has already been built you can begin to see problems, how a door way could be wider, how the supplies dont fit in the storage space. For me I saw this working in an assisted living facility years ago. I saw how we needed better storage for the diapers that the clients needed, and we needed a better sized shower to get the patients in and out of the shower. Knowing all this I was able to help the company that I worked for is building a better facility for the patients that we cared for, we were able to make the shower larger and able to fit two adults so that you could shower the patients. We built in a storage unit in the garge to store the diapers and supplies. Learning how to change the deisgn helps the patients that we serve at the facilities we work at.2.I believe that one of the most important health care facility designs can exist in the design of the medical treatment area, with adequate space that is designated specifically for equipment as well as the technology. Another important area of the design of a facility has to be safety, by ensuring safety precautions are put in place has to be of the utmost importance. Patients rooms are another important important focus area, as tasks may need to be performed in the patient’s room, therefore they should be constructed with adequate space; in order to bring in equipment that may be needed in a life saving event. In today’s world a health care facility will need to have modern design embellished with technology to enhance the patients experiences, thus offering the best possible quality of care. In conclusion there are several important design factors to build a facility with a design that will ensure all the important areas are carefully designed to have a successful health care facility, that will cover a wide range of things.
