Gender Roles and the Feelings of Maasik and Solomon

Today in our country, it has been thought that in the history of humanity, and the roles and jobs of everyone is different. Especially, with the roles of males compared to the roles of females. The roles that are being led to the weight as well as the growth of our community with many different parts. In many ways and they can be defined by the roles of our males, along with the roles of females. This is also including, the society, and our life in our community. The world is usually split into two specific roles all around the world.  These two gender roles are known as male and female. Even though, throughout the world, we have been seeing only these two major gender roles. we can now start to see in our daily life that it is made by particular choices for both the genders. Now that the world is looking at sex as more of a as only being male and female. We can now see new radicals such as transgender. The transgender group is recognized as a sex that isn’t as easy as just being male or female. With our community not really liking the fact that there are gender roles they are trying to help; but the community understands the gender roles are known as only male or female.

Moving on, males and females are normally expected to play many different roles within the community. This is meaning that males normally do harder work whereas, the females stay at home and do the cooking, cleaning, and tending to the children. The cultural roles are assigned roles. These assigned roles are assigned to the different gender groups. One example of this is males go out and work construction instead of being a stay at home parent. Whereas, females are the stay at home parent and never leave the house except for going out and getting the groceries. In the society that we live in the common knowledge of sexuality is greatly influenced. An Example, of the way our society is influencing the sexuality is by saying that it’s wrong if the same sex is involved with one another. Since how sex isn’t necessarily the gender of a person. The society is frequently raising their babies as either man or woman from the parts that they are born with.  The different gender roles where meant to be the separation of males and females.

On the other hand, when we look at the transgender group it is often people who are born as one gender. However, they are confused about their identity and their gender.  They are also sometimes confused with their sexual orientation. But being transgender isn’t the same thing as being lesbian, gay, or bisexual. The gender identities, whether one is transgender or not it is about who you are on the inside. For example, if you are a male but feel you are a female that is who you are on the inside, and that is who you identify as. As another example, is if you are a female but feel on the inside that you are a male that is who you are identifying as. With transgenders it is a gender role all its own, meaning that the people that are transgendered is the opposite gender until they go through the surgery to make them fully the other gender.

In all reality, Maasik and Solomon feel that everyone should be treated equally to each other. Whether man, woman, or transgender everyone is the same. This meaning that no matter the line of work we can all do the same thing. To where men work construction so can women. Men can stay at home parents as well. Maasik and Solomon are also showing that when a man does something that can otherwise, be compromising then it is okay for them to do so. However, when a woman does the same thing, then they are being called all kinds of nasty names for doing it. So, in all reality what Massik and Solomon are trying to indicate is that what is good for one should be good for all. They also feel that no matter the sexuality of a person that they are the same as everyone.

Inconclusion, when looking back at what Maasik and Solomon are trying to say is that everyone should be known as equal. Also, there shouldn’t be any separation of gender roles. Therefore, if a man can go out and do hard labor so can a woman. Same can be said about the transgender group because, they are no less of a human than all the rest of us. Therefore, if we were all treated equally then we there wouldn’t be so many differences for everyone. Even though, we look at men and see them as the only ones that can be aggressive. However, woman can be aggressive as well it doesn’t matter. Thus, meaning that that no matter the gender role we are it doesn’t mean that we can only do one specific role. As it has been said that everyone is equal no matter the gender role we are.  Maasik and Solomon is stating that we need to all be equal and can do everything equally no matter what gender role we are. They are also trying to get everyone to feel the same way as they do in my opinion.
