1) The low wages that the farmworkers receive are of a big concern to me. It makes me feel sad for them and angry at the supermarkets that buy from these farms as well as the government for doing too little to help the farm workers. I feel that the government and these supermarkets can do more do help the farm workers.

2) The low wages are an exemplification of how selfish big corporations can be. It also portrays America as a bad place for immigrant farmworkers to work in. It also shows that the government has let down the farmworkers and farmers. I think the government can play a part in pressuring the big supermarkets to pay the farmers well who then can give farmworkers better wages.

3) I do not think the extra penny per pound is fair. Compared to what the farmworkers go through and what the supermarkets make in profits, the penny per pound is too little. After years of suffering for the farmworkers and farmers alike as well as the massive profiteering for the supermarkets, it would only be fair if the supermarkets would make it possible for the farmworkers to be paid the recommended minimum wage.

4)One would support this deal because it will serve justice for the many farmworkers working in American farms. One would be against this deal because it will mean that they should cough more money to pay the farmworkers better.
