The Ten Commandments are an important staple of a Christian social framework. The business world creates obstacles that are difficult to overcome when abiding by this structure. This paper provides the opportunity to expand on the idea of the Ten Commandments in a business context.

Interpret the Ten Commandments and their application to the business world both ethically and morally. (5.4)

Theory and Context

The Word of the Lord is as relevant today as it was three thousand years ago. Many will tell you that Scripture is outdated and has no relevance today. The Ten Commandments though are a great example of guidelines that would provide amazing direction for any business. It is important not to just know Scripture, but to understand its relevance and importance in today’s working world.

Instructions

1.In a 6-8 page paper, list and discuss each of the Ten Commandants and their relevance in the business world.

a.Explain each commandment and how the commandment can be applied to business issues.

b.Consider the possible relationship between some of the ethical theories covered during the course and the various commandments.

c.Explain the difference Christian ethics makes in the workplace.
