Help me study for my English class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

Instructions:

To begin this assignment, compose your Journal 6 answering the following prompt:

1. Read James Lacey’s essay, “We Need Trained Soldiers, Not a Horde of Draftees. (Links to an external site.)“
2. After you finish the essay, make a list of his points and the number of the paragraph where you find the points.
3. Then offer your response. What do you think of his claims? Your answer will be a thesis statement.
4. After you have made your claim, offer a quote with analysis or a summary (his ideas in your words). Once you do that, give the in-text and bibliographic citation for the “incorporated” material.
