ENG 1A Saddleback Application of Culturally Sensitive Communication in Healthcare Essay This is the instructions I was given:

You will write a thesis-driven, argumentative essay discussing one aspect of Culture and argue its benefits or its negative effects it has on race or how people perceive race.
Choose your topic: The topic is up to you, as long as it relates to culture and race! The sky is the limit here. You can write about anything from sports to films.
Pick a side: Remember, you are writing an argument. While some arguments do take a middle-of-the-road position, for this assignment I ask that you clearly choose one side to argue either positives or negatives.
Concession of Opposing Arguments: Remember, BTBW chapter 11- “A characteristic feature of argument writing is the way it fairly and objectively represents the opposition” (361). Make sure to include Acknowledgement and Refutation. Concession is optional.
Use Outside Sources: Your goal is to convince your reader that your position is correct. In order to convince us, you need factual support of experts. You are required to use a minimum of three outside sources as support in your essay (one of these sources can be the opposing argument).
Essay Requirements:
4-5 FULL pages, double spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font
MLA format (include a works cited page)
