Your initial post should be based on the state to which you were assigned, below, based on the first letter of your last name. In that post, do the following:

Identify a street gang operating in the state to which you were assigned. Provide a brief overview of the gang. Include the origin of the gang, initiation rites, crimes for which the gang is known, gang colors, and any other information you think is relevant.
Research and identify a law in the state to which you were assigned that either (1) specifically targets street gangs or (2) is utilized to prosecute gang members. Provide an overview of the statue and explain how it applies to gang-related criminal activity.
Create a hypothetical scenario in which law enforcement in your assigned state responds to gang-related illegal activity and applies the statute you identified to arrest suspects. (Note: You will need to be certain that the elements of the crime(s) are present, as well as that the specifics of the statute are met in your scenario in order to support the arrest.)
Conclude your post with at least one suggestion that you believe would help reduce gang activity and gang-related crimes in the state to which you were assigned.
