As part of the graded material for this course; you will from time to time work on practice
problems & post them to the DB. You must include your work so that others can review
and post feedback on it. Therefore, it is up to you to figure out how you will scan and
upload your work. If you are unsure please speak with me 2-3 days before the due date
or speak with information desk at Library or google a video on how to upload your work
into Canvas.
To get full credit you will also need to respond and give feedback to 2 other
posts. This is where students lose points. Your feedback must make sense, be
specific and avoid summarizing anyone’s work.
Using the data from the class survey we all took – (uploaded into Module Section )
To complete this DB you will need to have reviewed the Chapters for Exam 1.
1. Using the data from the class survey -Label the data in each column as nominal,
ordinal, interval and explain why
2. Then indicate when the data is interval/ratio if it is discrete or continuous and why
3. Calculate the average number of hours using the student credit hours (SCH) by
all students then do the same for each division (upper & lower)
4. Calculate the standard deviation for student credit hours (SCH) by all students
then do the same for each division (upper & lower)
5. Pick 1 nominal variable and create an appropriate graph based on Chapter 2 to
display any statistics we have covered that you found interesting (see Class Data
from Survey in Module)
6. Pick 1 interval/ratio variable and create an appropriate graph based on Chapter 2
to display any of the statistics we have covered that you found interesting (see
Class Data from Survey in Module)
7. Create a cumulative frequency (challenge include relative frequency) table on the
number of hours taken, you can try to create no more than 3 rows so you get
experience aggregating data (to get examples video you can find them by going
