Black Tropes and Black LGBTQ Women Film Idea Yesterday I talked to professor. She told me that for the film I created, it should counter all tropes for Blacks in film. Like normally the trope is Black live in poverty, Black male play basketball to success. Then in my film, I should counter all those, making it like a Black lesbian or transgender from a rich family, do some type of high educational level job to gain success, like build some good technology in Silicon Valley to change the world. So I think the first thing is to rewrite a half page idea for my film. I am thinking to write how a black LGBTQ female from a rich family gain success by building or creating any technology. Also during her growth, she faced some discriminations from other rich white kids in a good high school or college.Since the professor said I need to counter all tropes, meanwhile my main character also need to have some kind of discrimination on race or gender to show the theme of black.Instructions: Write half a page describing my final film idea based on the idea I provided above. APA format. Include characters, setting, plot and the black tropes it will focus on.
