Assignment: Write a robust three paragraph essay that details how your appreciation for the diversity of life has changed from day one. If it has not
changed, please explain how its has been reinforced. Either way, you MUST include at least three specific examples from three different units in this
course. If this discussion takes you outside the scope of the classwork, you may include it, however, it must be anchored in three specific examples
from class. Be mindful that your statement is not graded on the nature of your opinion, but rather the connection to the relevant coursework.
Format: Please include three robust paragraphs. Use the three guidelines below for what should be in each of the three complete paragraphs.
Paragraph 1 – Explain where you were on the first day of class and where you are now – with a nice topic sentence to end this paragraph.
Paragraph 2 – Provide your three examples and validate why they support your claim. You must explain why this has affected you.
Paragraph 3 – Describe what you plan on doing now, where are you taking this?

8pts there are three distinct and separate specific examples from class. All three examples are from separate units.
8pts for each of the three examples you explain WHY these have specifically affected your appreciation.
8pts the science is correct
Put some thought into your essay. It does not have to be overly complex – just have an opinion and support it. I have provided a couple of pointers in
your ecology review doc and I will go over this with you when we get closer to the end of class.
First of all, I believe that the natural life we live in is full of miracles. Trees, earth, sky, flowing rain, all of which actually represent freedom,
hope, light. The fact that there is so much variety attracts my attention both in plants and animals. They all have a unique task. For example,
you cannot expect a strawberry from an apple tree. The city we live in is not very suitable for us to have close relationships with nature. We
need to drive constantly, so we can’t stay alone with nature. My favorite times to feel nature are the first hours of the morning sun and the first
hours of the evening sun. Walking these hours seems to me like therapy. In the morning, I feel that nature has given me a message with the
slight wind noise, the flying noise of the leaves, and the sun’s first lights illuminating my face. I am more hopeful for new beginnings or for this
life I live. This is actually same during the evening sun sets. While walking in these hours, the light gradually turns into darkness, which gives
me the message that no matter what we live, it will surely go away. I want to say something about our friends too. I have always wanted to be
in close contact with animals. I love them, and I want to spend time with them. I am very happy to see them around and I am very grateful for
their existence. But I can’t approach any animal because of an incident that I had when I was little. This is a phobia. I would love to get to know
them closely. I guess the animal I see most recently is ants in our house. I think they came to remind themselves that we could not spend
much time outside. 🙂
