Choose ONE of the following topics: 1) Compare and contrast two-dimensional art with three-dimensional art. Consider the following questions (among others that you find interesting or relevant) when researching and writing: • What are the differences? • What are the similarities? • How can an artist create space in two-dimensional work? Give examples of important works of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. You may offer your opinion and critique of the artwork when making comparisons or explaining why you chose the work as examples. 2) The history of art is filled with examples of new media transforming the way artists work. What is the impact of the computer, and the various tools associated with it, on artists and art-making? Cite specific examples and artists, using your text as a starting point.
