Today, more than ever, the care and science behind the preservation of works of art is emphasized to ensure we can enjoy and sustain these impactful pieces. The ban on bird feeding proves that sometimes interesting methods can be put to use in order to actively protect works of art. I believe that in modern times there is an increasing emphasis on saving and keeping works of art in the best shape possible because we, as a society, recognize the immense impact they have and want to increase the longevity of their legacy. )
