Analysis of high job satisfaction in Google inc.

This course is organizational behavior. This is the research paper about the organizational behavior. We need to use organizational culture and motivation theory to use in the paper. You only need to write on the introduction and literature review parts. In literature interview, we would analyze on 1.organizational culture 2.perks or extrinsic motivators(benefit, pay….) 3.belief within the company that the employees are improving the world through their work (job redesign, task significance….). If the third point is hard to analyze, you can change one but it must related to organizational behavior concepts. I will give you the brief format and the summary i wrote before………but in literature review, you only need to analyze the point 2 and 3, you do not need to analyze the organizational culture….since its not my part… the professor asks us to submit the copy to Turnitin.com, so please be careful, lol, thanks you!!!

Choosing a Topic

You should try to identify anOB/HR question of interest related to a current issue in organizations. The topic shouldn’t be too broad or obvious, such as “How does Job Satisfaction influence Employee Turnover?” If you are interested in this, you would need to narrow it down by adding another element such as generational differences, industry differences, cultural differences, etc…

Guidelines for One Page Summary

• Describe in general what your paper is about, why is it important, and which OB theories/concepts are going to be used in the paper. You normally need to address 1-2 main OB topics in the paper (e.g., personality, motivation, leadership, organizational culture). It is okay if you make changes to this later, as will you find more information on your topic when you do more research on it.
• Identify which group members are responsible for the different parts of the project. It is often good to make two people responsible for each part so that you are not relying on just one person.
• This summary will be marked for completeness as part of participation. One-page max. single spaced. 12 point font. 1 inch margins.
• You need tosubmit this summary to your TA via email anytime between now and March 9th.
• The sooner you submit it, the sooner you will get feedback. The more effort you put into the one-page summary, the better the feedback you will get from your TA.

General Structure of the Research Paper

• Introduction (1-2 pages): What is your main idea/issue/question? Why is it important? How are you going to answer it? (OB topic(s) and theories you are going to focus on)
• Literature Review (3-5 pages): Explain what is known about the topic/question from prior research (supposed to help the reader understand your topic). This section is focused on academic research. You will identify this research in the introduction but go into more detail in this section.
• Analysis (3-5 pages): Use case studies (of companies, people, industries, etc…) to illustrate

how your topic is actually affecting organizations. More focused on non-academic publications. You will identify these in the introduction but go into more detail in this section.

• Conclusion (1 page): Summarize findings and make any recommendations or implications of what your group found. Your own opinion can be used but should be consistent with findings from the paper.

This is a general structure that may differ depending on your topic. Your one-page summary is a good way to get feedback from your TA on your ideas.
