Description
The length of the assignment must be around 1000 words. All sources of information should be properly acknowledged. Films and recordings of theatre performances should be listed in Works Cited, the MLA format. Secondary sources are not required but a couple quotes from a source is encouraged. Each paragraph should be around 10 lines long. Suggestions and ideas: compare an adaption to the original text. How are characters and events interpreted? What aspects are emphasized? What is overlooked? To what effect? Has the play been modernized? In what way? Does this work? If yes, why and how? How does the production adapt the play to our modern sensibilities? Compare two productions of the same play. Analyze one scene or one soliloquy across several adaptions. Analyze one character per across several adaptions.
