Now that you have a project charter and a project team, it is time to  focus on planning your project. One of the most crucial parts of a  project is the project scope. Defining what is included in the project  (and what isn’t) is important so that you don’t veer outside of the  initial goals or budget.
Assignment
For this case study assignment, we would like you to complete a work  breakdown structure (WBS) outline for a subset of the work for your  group trip. Choose at least five key areas to break down. As we have  explained in the course materials, WBSs can vary in detail significantly  depending on the size and complexity of the project. They can also be  presented in a number of graphic or visual styles—bulleted lists or more  complex graphic approaches. The key, however, is to remember that they  are always hierarchical. For example, here again is the example of a WBS  for a guitar that appeared in the course materials:

This WBS could also use an outline format, which would look something like this:

For this case study, we have chosen the outline format for the  template so that you can focus on decomposition rather than the format.  Try to focus on including the main things that need to get done in order  for your trip to be a success.
