What makes capitalism different from ways of organizing production?

For this essay, I need you to answer two questions: 1. What makes capitalism different from ways of organizing production? What specific features distinguish capitalism from other systems? Should plantation slavery be considered a form of capitalism, or something else? 2. What connection was there between slavery and the industrial revolution? How did the expansion of slavery support and/or conflict with the development of the industry?
