Introduction
Virtualization is an important move for organizations who are aiming to reach a wide
variety of clients as they deliver their services online. For a company to be able to venture
successfully in virtualization, the level of preparedness amid the available environment and
necessary tools required plays an important role. Virtualization is a broad term which covers
virtual resources and devices such as servers, cloud storage systems and networks. New York
Kimchi is a restaurant located in 16 West 48th Street New York. The objective of this research
paper is to explain the suitable virtualization strategy that the New York Kimchi will use to reach
out to many clients at home.
Describe the organization’s environment, and evaluate its preparedness
Favorable environment for visualization includes a cool and ventilated room to place
servers, quality CPUs to connect promptly and respond swiftly to multi-computerized tasks and
faster WLAN internet server for easy networking. The company has an ICT department with
cooler server rooms to prevent overheating and possible fire outbreaks from the WLAN network
servers. The CPUs used are the latest generation with larger random access memory and reliable
read-only memory. The department has a server computer that receives feeds from the CCTVs
and can also be used to switch on emergency alarms in the restaurant lodge rooms. A very
dedicated IT team is available anytime to fix the network, intranet and internet hitches in the
organization. With all these factors at hand, it is with no doubt to conclude that the organization
is well prepared for further virtualization (Rashid & Chaturvedi, 2019).
Explain Microsoft (or another product) licensing for virtualized environments
The company uses most of the Microsoft products to do both intranet and internet
networking. Microsoft offers many virtual services and products that require the user to attain a

license before use. Licensing for virtualized products is very important in maintaining the
security of data disclosed online. The company is planning to use Windows Azure for cloud
computing and the development of other important applications virtually. As the company has
been using Microsoft license for other products such as operating systems, Windows Azure also
require licensing from the Microsoft Company through buying of the license key for the cloud
computing system. Lack of license in the virtualization environment might result in access
restrictions which can fail the system. The Microsoft Windows Azure license is under a certain
fee which can be done either monthly or on a one time purchase. License for cloud solutions
helps in getting legit services from the sellers upon where the buyer can get help and be able to
renew these services upon expiry. The lack of cloud solutions license results to cracked virtual
products that expose the user to the risk of losing data, and getting hacked. The company has
committed its resources towards purchasing the product keys for Microsoft Windows Azure
(Sharma & Kaur, 2016).
Recommend a configuration for shared storage; make sure to discuss the need for high
availability and redundancy for virtualization for the organization
The New York Kimchi organization needs a system that can facilitate multitasking with
different applications. This requires wide shared storage. Azure shared disks are recommended
for the organization due to its dimension of operationalizing virtualization. Multiple virtual
machines (VM) can be attached to a managed disk which is regulated by the Azure shared disks.
This is a sophisticated storage configuration that allows the user to organize crowded
applications to Azure. Through the use of Microsoft Windows Azure, the availability of cloud
solutions will the ensured in the organization and the development of desired applications will be
effected thus increasing the interconnectivity of the organization’s workforce and clients. The

clustered virtual machines have the capability of writing and reading the attached disk-based on
chosen reservations such as SCSI Persistent Reservations. Using this set of storage configuration
allows the user to migrate the engaged applications to Microsoft Windows Azure (Carutasu &
Pirnau, 2016).
Explain Windows Azure capabilities for virtual machines and managing a hybrid cloud,
including Windows Azure’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and storage capabilities
Windows Azure is a multi-diverse platform that enables the users to build and run
applications via global networks facilitated by various Microsoft data centres. Windows Azure is
featured in a way that the user can be able to use any kind of coding language to create
applications which can be featured in the platform. Some of the coding languages applicable
include java and php among others. Windows Azure has a wide capability in online networking
and cloud storage and solutions. The platform is claimed to deliver about 99% of cloud services
where the users are able to build their applications and run them on the services. New York
Kimchi organization’s aim is to come up with an online service where the customers can be able
to book for foods, drinks and other services online. Windows Azure has an option for
synchronizing the developed application without the company having to use other
infrastructures. An Azure platform is an open tool which facilities other developed applications
and systems through various coding language. This will help the organization develop any
application to reach its customers. The Microsoft Windows Azure will also enable the
organization to create a web conferencing application that will facilitate virtual meetings for the
organization’s workforce. The Azure platform is unique due to the fact that it has unlimited
storage and server. This leaves the organization with an option of launching any system and
application that the platform can handle in any coding language (Singh, 2018).

Microsoft Window Azure has various data centres across the world which serves as
Repository Avenue for erased data thus making it one of the most suitable services in cloud
solutions. The service is available across the world and the support team is dedicated to help and
respond to any emerging issues. The Azure platform is very flexible in delivering the required
results swiftly. The Windows Azure capability of carrying unlimited data helps in managing a
hybrid cloud where different systems are interconnected via Windows Azure Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS). IaaS does not refer to Windows Azure as an application but a clouding platform
that can accommodate a sophisticated system of online applications. This helps in synchronizing
offline data to the online version which can be copied and replicated on the end-user thus
enabling a networking communication between various users (Verma & Arora, 2019).
Make a recommendation for cloud computer use in the organization, including a
justification for your recommendations.
I recommend the New York Kimchi to proceed with the plan of using Microsoft Azure
for cloud computing. This is because the Azure software comes in different packages that depend
on the suitability of the user organization. The Azure system offers management of users’
resources and the user is able to access these services via the portal. The system also has
different storage configurations and policies that suit the different needs of the user
organization.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the New York Kimchi is focused on launching various applications to
reach out to customers and deliver its services virtually. This is a sophisticated approach that
requires unlimited storage packages. Using the Azure cloud computing will help the organization
know when to organize and start virtual machines in the Azure platform. Similarly, the system

offers an option where the organization will be able to manage its storage and host its resources
in the Azure cloud through the systems operations management. Using the Microsoft Windows
Azure will help the New York Kimchi achieve its virtualization dream.

Abstract
Studies have indicated that the main goal for the establishment of many organization will
often be profit. However, it is often important for the management team to have a vision, where
virtualization will play a role in determining the possibility of the organization in reaching a
wide range of customer. As a result, the study will take into consideration the New York Kimchi
virtualization into becoming the most preferred home resolution.

Virtualization will often tend to play a role in ensuring that a company realizes its goals
an objective as far as gaining a larger customer clientele.
Literature Review
In this section, the key terminologies as far as virtualization will be identified and
explained to enable the reader to understand the importance and usefulness of virtualization.
