TAKE QUIZ–MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE CAFE BOOK QUIZ #3!!!

.What two things in your own thinking and writing will you need to watch out for in your paper so you don’t end up pathologizing, victim-blaming, or white savioring Black children, Black parents, Black families, and Black communities?

.What is your paper thesis? is it narrow enough

.put your paper outline here:

.While thinking about this subject and its impact on your own life story or the life story of people close to you may be tempting, it may not be something that you want to share with the strangers who are grading this paper. That said, please feel free to use your research for this to journal/diarize/ reflect. But, please do not feel compelled to share anything that makes you feel vulnerable or destabilizes your housing and immediate shelter and safety without talking to someone that you know better than a professor or TA (like a super trusted long time safe/nonjudgemental person in your life). If you want to share a more personal reflective piece, consult with people you know and trust first and then make an office hour with me or your TA. But most of all please know, we are studying a deep enduring entrenched problem and we don’t expect anybody to fix it by June 5, 2020. This assignment is meant to give you space to do the thinking work, to get access to more vocabulary and maybe some different ideas for helping yourself and those you love and organize with. Please simply reply with a thumbs up or a “Got it” in the comment section.
