Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Chronic Condition Mellitus Research Paper Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Since diabetes is so prevalent in society in both adults and children, it is beneficial to understand how the disease occurs
and how it is treated. The research on the two types of diabetes mellitus will give you a greater understanding on this
chronic condition and how it affects your bodys ability to use energy.
This assignment is to write a research paper on the subject that you located sources for in your Unit II assignment
(Annotated Bibliography) concerning Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Additionally, follow the research paper topic
outline that was created and submitted in Unit IV, and include any feedback corrections that were provided by your
instructor.
You should address the following content in the paper:
Compare and contrast the type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Analyze the pathophysiology, symptoms, causes, and treatments of diabetes mellitus. Include graphs, charts and/or,
data comparing normal and disease states for blood glucose levels of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Where is the future research headed? Include specific technology being researched and developed.
Relate your personal input on differing beliefs or ideas held by experts that potentially impact scientific ethics, patients
values, and public policy on diabetes mellitus.
Your paper must be at least three to four pages in length with a separate title page and a reference page. The title and
reference page do not count toward the total page requirement. Your paper must be formatted in APA style and include four
to six sources. You should include at least the two scholarly sources from the CSU Online Library database as used in your
annotated bibliography that supported your initial research. The remaining sources may include the textbook and other
credible resources or websites that you are using in your research paper. Any information from these sources should be
cited and referenced in APA format. You only need one reference page for all sections, and include the references for all
sections on that page(s). Annotated Bibliography
This assignment will help you organize the sources you will use in the Unit VI Research Paper. An
annotated bibliography
consists of two parts, the reference citation in APA format and the summary for that reference.
Your sources should address the following topics to be included in the Unit VI Research Paper:
Compare and contrast type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Review the pathophysiology, symptoms, causes, and treatments.
Where is future research headed?

Click here for a tutorial on how to write an effective annotated bibliography.
Find four to six current sources (published within the last five years).
Note that the reference citations are in alphabetical order.
Summaries do not include opinion but rather a short synopsis of the article with no direct quotes. End
your summary
with one or two sentences on why that source was selected and how it is of value to your research topic.
Each
summary should be at least 50 words in length.
Research Paper Outline
This assignment will help you organize and develop your research paper due for the Unit VI assignment.
Your outline should
be at least two pages in length (in addition to your title and reference pages). Your title and reference
pages do not count
toward the total page requirement. Your outline should include:
an introductory paragraph introducing your topic;
supporting evidence and all headings and subheadings show parallelism;
all topics mentioned in the Unit VI Research Paper instructions (Refer to your Unit VI Research paper
