Statement of purpose

A desire to extend my knowledge and enthusiasm to solve the demanding problems faced by the industry today, motivated me to pursue a Master’s in Human Resources Management. I believe my education background and experience would enquire me to approach my expectations regarding to my professional life.

When I made the decision to study industrial engineering, I was passionate about knowing how industrial processes are, what is the step by step to reach a final product; As clients we know the basic characteristics of what we buy and how we obtain a service, from there we judge according to our interests and demands, as clients we always want perfection in what we have been promised, different story is when you have the privilege of working in a company of goods or services and it is your responsibility to exceed customer expectations.

I remember in my eighth semester in the field of process engineering I had to carry out a project in a textile factory where I had to apply all the knowledge obtained during my studies until that moment. The company was dedicated to making uniforms, the objective was to study the process, identify strengths and weaknesses, make a diagnosis and finally propose solutions for all the areas involved.

The focus of this project was towards workers at the level of industrial safety and occupational well-being at work. In my perspective, it was one of the critical and fundamental points for this textile factory, taking into account that, even with the help of machines and tools, they cannot be operated by themselves. Having the power at that time to make changes to the company, and recognizing how indispensable the staff is, it was possible to apply improvement strategies in the work environment which increased productivity.

After passing the stage from student to worker, I gained more knowledge from both perspectives and it is that being an internal client, the daily tasks are done with love when the human resources area makes workers the most important factor of the company, worrying about Your well-being and happiness.

Regardless of the size of the company, it is always necessary to have a person to advise employees, organized their work tasks or hire new workers. This point is very important for the growth of the organization in the medium and long term. For example, an ambitious project, which can bring many benefits to the company, but is led by a competitive work team, capable of solving problems, in which tensions do not occur can destroy this project. The responsibility will depend directly on the Human Resources department, playing a very important role in the development of the company.

Having a training in Human Resources I will have many job opportunities, in addition to learning new skills that will allow me to develop in the business field, being able to empathize with people, and join the interests of both workers and the company.
