If you have someone you would like to conduct your case study on that is not on the list, consult with me. Research the life or background of the person/group. Describe in at least one page a history or biographical information. This is the background for your argument. You will then use Berry’s model and discuss whether you think the person or group is assimilated, integrated, marginalized or separated to mainstream American culture. Defend your argument with specific examples from the person’s life or from the group’s behaviors. You may discuss what you consider to be “mainstream American culture” as part of this argument.
